This is the first in a three week series about DIY scarves. I look forward to sharing about how to make a t-shirt scarf and a fabric scarf in the following weeks. If you haven’t figured out how much I love scarves yet, then now you know.
I’ve wanted to write on a scarf for nearly two years. Yes, some DIY projects take me awhile to get around to finally making them happen. While shopping with my mom in Nebraska, I saw a scarf that inspired this one. It made me think of what I could write on it that inspired me and how it would be a lot of fun. My mom encouraged me that I really should do it and over Thanksgiving break I finally made this scarf happen and I’m excited to show you how to make one of your own.
+ 3 white paint pens (I thought it would only take one, but needed to make another couple of trips back to Michael’s to finish this project)
+ Parchment Paper (So that you don’t get paint on the table)
+ Patience, this project takes many hours, but is well worth it for the final result
I made Proverbs 31:25 into a pattern on my scarf, strength and dignity are her clothing and she smiles at the future. What words would you put on your scarf?
