Life with the Ramsings

Celebrate the Beauty of Marriage

All of the incredibly epic photos in this post are by Neil Abrew Photography!

It’s sure a blast to get dressed up in fancy sparkly dresses (save $30 on your first Rent the Runway order!), suits, and bow ties and celebrate love. The real beauty of marriage isn’t always in the sparkly moments, though. It’s truly in the everyday.

It’s no hidden secret that the first year of marriage is rough for many, us included. So when we got to one-and-a-half and things started flowing smoother I knew I wanted to have that season captured by a photographer (thanks again Neil!) to celebrate all the memories made and all we had made it through together. Because marriage should be celebrated not only on the good days but especially during the rough ones.

Because the beauty of marriage is in…

Replacing the toothpaste when it’s out
The laughter
Simple lunch dates
The tears
Listening to the waves crash against the shore
The hurt
Dates to Winco for bulk candy
The fights
Love notes
The peace
Cups of coffee shared
The stillness
Hulu and to-go chicken burritos from Burrito Heaven
The intimacy
Home cooked meals
The joy
The swooning
Early morning runs
The adventures
Rainy days
The mundane
The wonderful
The bikini emojis
Serving together
Watching the sun rise
Leading together
The Scrabble games
Saying yes to God’s plans
The kisses
Being on mission together
The drives, long and short
Worshipping together
The flights
Missing each other when you’re not together
The illness
New found shared hobbies
The code
Newspapers all over the home
The snuggles
Realizing how much you love each other

And so much more!
