As race day approached I started losing my voice and allergies were definitely not being my friend. I kept wondering if I was really going to be able to run the whole thing… spoiler alert, we finished without walking!
Four Warm Spring Weather Running Style Tips
Tip #1: Wear running bottoms that have pockets. Pockets are essential for a race because then you have a spot to fit your phone, gummies, etc. My favorite pair has a zip pocket on the back that will also fit your ID.
Tip #2: Wear a hat so that you don’t have to worry about the sun being in your face.
Tip #3: Wear a tank top, so you don’t have to deal with the sweaty sleeves effect.
Tip #4: Last, but not least, don’t forget sunscreen and don’t forget to re-hydrate after you finish running.
Hot air balloons and the sunshine greeted us as we drove to the race.
