I look forward being able to wear weekend style. When the weekend finally rolls around, typically you’ll find me in leggings and tees.
Other times I up my tee game to my favorite v-neck (which is still a tee, might I add!), skinny jeans (just rolled them up), and peep toe booties. These booties are the most comfortable pair I’ve even worn. I could easily walk around downtown Portland for hours in them.
A few years ago I wrote a blog post on being brave enough to wear a v-neck (read that post here). Unfortunately, wearing v-necks didn’t last very long, because after I washed the v-neck it shrunk. Funny enough, the skirt from that post doesn’t fit anymore either.
As I put on my v-neck this time around it was amazing to reflect on how much I’ve grown and how confident I feel in my own skin these days. I didn’t worry about being pale, I didn’t worry about the zits on my chin (MAC coverup does wonders my friends), I didn’t feel self-conscious like I used to because I was wearing a v-neck, I simply felt beautiful.
