10 Step Guide to Meeting Peter

10 Step Guide to Meeting Peter

10 Step Guide To Meeting Peter

Rewind five full years to July 27, 2012. What happened that day? I met Peter.

Many of you reading this post probably do not know the story of how we met. So today, I am going to tell you.

Step 1:

Attend a group for young professionals. Meet someone who went to your alma mater.

Step 2:

Find said person from you alma mater on Facebook. See a cute guy below them in the list of people who were also in that group of young professionals.

Step 3:

Feel that still, quiet voice in your head saying “add the cute guy”. Wonder “Is that you God? Nah…can’t be…”

Step 4:

Realize not listening to God is a bad thing to do. Go back to Facebook and add him. (blush deeply while doing this step)

Step 5:

Thoroughly glance through the cute guy’s Facebook profile. Realize he’s not just cute but super hawt, motivated, goes to the same church you’re going to and looks taller than you. (make a note to ask his age and height…it’s not listed on Facebook.)

Step 6:

Check your notifications continuously waiting for him to accept your request. Send an awkward introductory message when he does.

Step 7:

While feeling embarrassed all day as he doesn’t reply. Send follow up message.

Step 8:

When he finally replies, keep the conversation going. If it gets awkward don’t worry…he’s probably unaware of how awkward you feel. (Remember, he’s hot and God told you to add him…it’s worth it!)

Step 9:

After he asked for you number, if he asks you to go on a drive say “yes”.

Step 10:

Let the love story play itself out…you’ll be married in two years.

Five years later on July 31, 2017, we’ll celebrate our third wedding anniversary.

Note this post originally appeared on Allison’s former blog A God Fashioned Life (original post titled, One Year Later). Since that blog no longer exists, the Ramsings are re-posting a version of it on their 5th anniversary of meeting for the first time.
