Summer Oregon Coast Style
The Oregon Coast isn’t exactly known for warm summer days. Sometimes the weather is in your favor and it’s 80-degrees, and you rejoice. Especially when you’ve escaped the heat of Portland to cool down on the coast. On our adventure, the difference in temperature between Portland and the Coast was about 25 degrees.
When Patrick and Lydia (Peter’s brother and his fiancé) came to visit we ventured to the coast to visit a few spots. Our first stop was the Bridgewater Bistro in Astoria. The food was incredible and you have a wonderful view of the bridge. If you venture all the way to the coast and don’t step foot on the sand, you’re missing out so we drove a few miles south and hit Sunset Beach. As we were headed back to the city we stopped in Seaside for some saltwater taffy. If you’re ever in Seaside, Oregon you must venture to the Seaside Candyman. The Seaside Candyman has 170 flavors of Saltwater Taffy! It was a wonderful day of exploring.
Allison’s Fashion Tips: Whenever you visit the Oregon Coast it’s always best to always pack a raincoat (or a warmer coat) in your car just in case you’re cold. For summer Oregon Coast style, take your shoes off and/or wear sandals as you walk along the coast. Final tip, have fun and embrace the messy hair. The salt water breeze gives incredible volume and texture to your hair.
