Little Bay Root Tees
I love a good, soft, cozy Litle Bay Root tee as much as I love spending time with dear friends, even better to have the two combined together. If you’ve been following along on my Instagram, you probably have noticed that it’s been quite the adventure the last two months. I haven’t shared everything that’s been going on via social media because some details are better left unsaid. Now that you’re curious, to sum it up, I had two mini-dermatology surgeries to remove moles and one major endometriosis excision surgery, where my appendix was also removed. After I was already back to work for a few weeks, one of my dermatology wounds split open. To let it heal, per doctor’s orders, I’ve only been able to stand or lay down, no sitting so it didn’t split more. It’s been a literal pain in the bum. In the middle of recovery, Little Bay Root surprised me with these sweet tees and a message wishing me a speedy recovery, I love companies that care about their customers.
I’m incredibly grateful for friends who come over in the middle of recovery and don’t mind that I’m laying on the couch or that my husband went downstairs to let them in. We’d planned the photo shoot before my wound split open and briefly ventured to the street to take these photos. The beauty of a photo is that “I look fine”, but in reality, I’m in pain and really just want my body to heal faster.
Over the years, I’ve gotten far too good at hiding when I’m not feeling well. I’m glad that I’m finally learning to let friends in and tell them how I’m really feeling and even invite them into my life on the bad days just as much as the good days. As you click through photos on social media remember there is always more to the story. You don’t know how that person is feeling and sometimes they don’t want to tell you. Sometimes, for a bit, they just want to pretend that everything is okay, even when it might not be. Remember that you always have friends who are willing to be there for you, even in your ugly moments. Becca, Taylor, and Breanna have sure seen the good and the bad in my life and I’m so thankful for them. Enjoy the pics from our fun photoshoot.
