Summer Date Style – Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum
The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum near McMinnville, Oregon is an AWESOME place to go on a date. Peter and I went on a date there a few weeks ago and it was one of the best things we’ve done for our marriage, date wise in a while. It was wonderful to go on a drive together and get to see the awe and wonder in Peter’s eyes as we explored the museum. Confession, I have never been the biggest museum person and I LOVED this museum. I do love the MOMA and the MET in New York City, too.
Style-wise, when I turned 30 I made a pact with myself to not wear graphic tees on dates or on weekends (unless I’m going to an actual sporting event) in public anymore. Now I’m probably going to break this at some point, but for now, I’m still going strong. The perks of this pact are that even as I type this post at home I’m wearing a graphic tee. I love graphic tees, heck, I even had a t-shirt business for awhile, but I want to dress like a thirty-year-old. The day of this date it would have been really easy to throw on a graphic tee, jeans, and a pair of my favorite Nikes. Instead, I put on a solid black v-neck, a pair of my favorite skinny jeans, wedges, and a few accessories.
Peter, on the other hand, always looks classy. To the office, a date, the weekend, you name it, my hubby has style. My husband outdresses me on a daily basis and I’m more than okay with it. For our date, he rocked a polo, pair of lululemon pants, and leather sneakers.
Style Tip: Ditch your graphic tees on a weekend for a solid v-neck tee or a polo.
