Beautycounter Flawless in Five

In 2016, I tried Beautycounter for the first time (see blog post). I loved it and confession: didn’t stick with it. I love trying new products, so I kept trying new product after new product (see blog post for my original 2018 favorites) regardless of what ingredients were in each product.

Recently, I had a wake-up call about what I was putting in and on my body and decided I was sick of being in the “gluten fog”. For years, I’ve had these weird breakouts on my arms and legs. I’ve had a hunch about what was causing them, but didn’t want to give up the prized food group, gluten. The longer gluten is out of my system the more my arms and legs are beginning to clear up. With that wake-up call, I also re-visited what I was putting on my face each and every morning. I overhauled my entire makeup routine, for safer products.

With chronic health issues, one way to take better care of my body is to be mindful of the products I use on it. Beautycounter has revolutionized the makeup industry by producing safer products. Their makeup is free of so many of the horrid toxins that are in a lot of my former favorites. I started with the Flawless in Five collection, since I was going to replace all my makeup with safer products. It’s safe to say, Madison and Megan have me hooked on Beautycounter. I can’t wait to keep exploring other products that they offer.

My Beautycounter Flawless in Five Favorites:

  • Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation in Linen
  • Touchup Skin Concealer Pen in Fair
  • Color Define Brow Pencil in Light
  • Volumizing Mascara
  • Satin Powder Blush in Melon
  • Lip Gloss in Blush Shimmer

Gorgeous! I too know that gluten gives me arm and leg bumps. Sorta worth it? I have an identical 5 minute makeup routine. I will have to take a look at BeautyCounter.

It has been so worth it to eliminate gluten. I’m still getting some bumps as the residual gluten continues to leave my system, but it’s starting to clear up more. What do you do for your 5-minute makeup routine?
