Beautycounter Countercontrol

The Beautycounter Countercontrol line is magic and I cannot say enough good things about this line of products. Countercontrol is a line formulated for oily and blemish-prone skin without the irritation. My friend, Madison sent me a few samples of this line in mid-August and I’ve been using it ever since. I’m hooked, my skin is so much clearer. I love it so much I want to tell you about it too.

Over the years, I’ve always gotten cystic acne throughout various stages of the month. I’ve tried numerous products on my face over the years to keep my acne at bay and most have hardly worked. I was quite skeptical that the Beautycounter Countercontrol line would be any different than all of the others that I’ve tried over the years. Since I love Beautycounter makeup so much, I figured I might as well at least give it a try.

This collection proved my skepticism wrong, it works and my skin has never looked better. I feel comfortable enough to leave the house without makeup on. Yes, I am writing this post at a coffee shop without makeup on (see photo below).

Another huge win is that I haven’t gotten a single cystic acne breakout since I started using this line. I have gotten a few small whiteheads, but I’ll gladly take a few of those any day over Mount Everest growing on my face.

The Beautycounter Countercontrol collection is formulated without harsh surfactants, benzoyl peroxide, and silicones. I have endometriosis and I’m trying to delay another surgery as long as possible, so I’ve changed up my diet (yep, I’m gluten-free these days) and I use products that are clean. I love that Beautycounter believes in going against the grain to get clean, safer products into the hands of everyone.

Here’s How I Use Beautycounter Countercontrol:

1: CleanseClear Pore Cleanser – Apply a small amount to wet face and massage gently in a circular motion while in the shower and pat dry.

2: PrepInstant Matte Toner – Squirt onto a cotton pad and swipe over a clean, dry face right after showering.

3: TreatAll Over Acne Treatment – Rub a thin layer all over face.

4: TreatSOS Acne Spot Treatment – Use a thin layer on blemishes as needed.

5: ProtectMatte Effect Gel-Cream – Put a thin layer on face.
