color swatches note from the designer:
Matthew 5:14-16 MSG:
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!”…
The design for the Color Swatches quilt pattern draws inspiration from rows and rows of paint color swatches. This pattern is an excellent way to feature five of your favorite colors and/or favorite fabrics in the color swatches! Other ideas to get creative and make this pattern shine: monochromatic palettes, pick a portion of the rainbow, go scrappy, pick your favorite seasonal fabrics, and so much more. I can’t wait to see what you create!
Happy sewing!
Allison

One thing I love about this pattern is that you can use leftover Color Swatches quilt scraps to make a Color Swatches Zipper Pouch. Or in my case — I made the zipper pouch prior to making the quilt using a Ruby Star Society First Light jelly roll that I had purchased on a sample spree. Because I loved the zipper pouch fabric combination so much, I ended up making a quilt using the same fabrics as soon as yardage was released.
