Color Swatches - Scrappy Version
Meet my newest pattern - Color Swatches! A quilt-a-long for this pattern begins on 6/21/21 — read more here about the quilt-a-long.
This is the Ruby Star Society scrappy version of the Color Swatches quilt! The scrappy version was made with Ruby Star Society Speckled in Neon Pink as the background fabric. The Color Swatches are an assortment of charm pack squares from the Smol, Florida, Golden Hour, Whatnot, and Rise collections. The binding is Them Apples from the Smol collection. Additionally, the gorgeous flower backing fabric is from the upcoming Stay Gold line.
The Color Swatches pattern is yardage, fat quarter, charm pack, jelly roll, layer cake, and scrappy friendly and I can’t wait to see all of the versions that are created with this pattern!
note from the designer
Matthew 5:14-16 MSG:
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!”…
The design for the Color Swatches quilt pattern draws inspiration from rows and rows of paint color swatches. This pattern is an excellent way to feature five of your favorite colors and/or favorite fabrics in the color swatches! Other ideas to get creative and make this pattern shine: monochromatic palettes, pick a portion of the rainbow, go scrappy, pick your favorite seasonal fabrics, and so much more. I can’t wait to see what you create!
Happy sewing!
