note from the designer

The design for the Layer Cake Stars pattern was inspired by my favorite quilt block, sawtooth star and pre-cut fabrics, specifically layer cakes. I designed this pattern to utilize one layer cake plus some yardage — resulting in a scrappy effect for your Layer Cake Stars quilt.
