Celebrate your love for quilting with the Power Spool quilt pattern. Power Spool is a modern twist on a spool block. This pattern features single and double sashing versions. This Power Spool quilt pattern is an ode to my alma mater, Iowa State University, where I studied Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production.
The barrel of the spool incorporates an hourglass quilt block, which is one of my favorites. The colorway on this design shines for the Cyclones. Power: because quilters use thread to create beautiful masterpieces and the Spool: dispensing the thread is what holds them together for generations to come.
*The mini quilt yields four total hourglass blocks (the center of the Power Spool). Make a few mini quilts for friends with the extra hourglass blocks! Do note: Extra fabric is needed of main fabric #1, background fabric, backing, and binding if you are planning to use the same fabric to finish all four mini quilts.
